Selma Blair Walked the Christian Siriano Runway in the Fiercest #MeToo Bodysuit
Blair's runway appearance was tied to the #MeToo movement.
Actresses are taking over the catwalk for New York Fashion Week this season. Need proof? For designer Christian Siriano's 10th anniversary show over the weekend, actress Selma Blair and Orange Is The New Black's Danielle Brooks strutted down the runway along with top models like Ashley Graham.
Blair wore an incredibly fierce catsuit with built-in boots that made us wonder exactly how she got into this outfit. A fab faux fur stole topped it all off.
"I die. What a ball to walk for @csiriano," Blair wrote on Instagram. "His talent and ingenuity have paved a new road and I am so proud to love him. #tenyears #christiansiriano this body suit speaks volumes for me."
Meanwhile, Brooks wore a dramatic aqua gown that would pop on any red carpet — and celebs like Cardi B, Whoopi Goldberg, Laverne Cox, Meg Ryan, Coco Rocha, and Molly Shannon took it all in from the front row.
Siriano is known for casting a diverse group of models, and this season, the #MeToo movement was on his mind too. “That’s why Selma Blair is on this runway today," Siriano told AM New York (Blair accused director James Toback of sexual harassment and told her story to Vanity Fair). "You know that she spoke up, and I wanted strong, powerful women to say what’s important in our culture. It’s very relevant," Siriano said.
