These Are the Highlighters That Keep the Real Housewives Glowing

Real Housewives-loved makeup artist Priscilla DiStasio reveals her holy-grail highlighters she uses to make her clients shine bright like diamonds.

Have you noticed how the Real Housewives always have a dewy, glowing complexion no matter what drama is going down? Well, they have a secret weapon: a strategic dusting of highlighter.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Peacock and the Bravo App.

“When you add a touch of glow with highlighter, it’s like the icing on the cake — or better yet, the sparkle to the diamond!” says makeup artist Priscilla DiStasio (aka Ms. Priscilla) who has worked a ton of Real Housewives, from Beverly Hills to New Jersey.

When applied right, DiStasio says, highlighter performs subtle light-bouncing trickery that erases years instantly — and its applications are endless. “It enhances cheekbones. It adds a glow to the inner corners of their eyes that makes them look more open and dreamy. Placing highlighter on the tip of the nose with a fingertip makes the face looks so sexy. In fact, my Houswives love that trick so much that if I ever forget to do it they remind me!” she laughs.

Ahead, the four highlighters that are always in Ms. Priscilla’s kit, along with favorite highlighter tips she's recently used on Real Housewives beauties, from Emily Simpson to Brandi Redmond, Teresa Giudice to Kyle Richards.

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in "Champagne Pop"

Why Ms. Priscilla loves it: “I love this highlighter for every reason there is to love a highlighter! It was one of my original favs — and still is.”

As seen on...Emily Simpson: “Emily has become popular for a red lip, so for her last appearance at The Clubhouse I gave [her] a more bronzy natural glow with a softer lip look — and of course that beauty rocked the beat! Finished her off with some Becca Champagne Pop and she was camera-ready!”

Pro tip: “I love this particular shade for the eyelids. My Housewives and my real-life brides would second that! It’s great as a base on your lids as well as cheekbones and cupid’s bow. The color is simply stunning!”

Rincon Cosmetics GlowBomb Extreme Glow Quad

Why Ms. Priscilla loves it: “The colors are true to the shade and they sparkle!”

As seen on... Brandi Redmond: “I used the Rincon GlowBomb highlighter recently on [her] for her Clubhouse appearance. These ‘glow bombs’ come with a very pigmented texture. This means their highlight is intense —  as it should always be — yet it’s still buildable, so you you can definitely work this highlighter from day to night!”

Pro tip: “I love mixing these highlighters with a liquid enhancer to brighten the glow. It creates magic!”

Alexa Persico Brighten Me Baby Highlighter

Why Ms. Priscilla loves it: “I find it so easy to use just about anywhere — including on the collarbone!”

As seen on... Teresa Giudice: “I used it on my Real Housewives of New Jersey beauty Teresa Giudice for Bravo's Season 9 promo photos. It has three shades that worked perfectly for her dress and to enhance her jewels.”

Pro tip: ”I added the Alexa Persico highlighter to Teresa's clavicles — that's always a good trick to bring out your body’s bone structure.”

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow Highlighting Palette

Why Ms. Priscilla loves it: “It’s beautiful — and it smells just like peaches! I love that it comes with this gorgeous fresh peach glow blush that just adds to the beauty of any look you're going for!”

As seen on... Kyle Richards: “I used this gorgeous highlighter on my gorgeous Kyle Richards for [her] appearance at the Bravo Clubhouse. She always glows!”

Pro tip: “With this palette you must use all three shades! They were meant for each other and their texture and colors blend gorgeously on the skin!”
