Luke Perry Dead at 52: Celebrities Remember the '90s Icon and Riverdale Star

The 90210 actor suffered a "massive stroke" last week.

Luke Perry, '90s heartthrob and Beverly Hills, 90210 star, has died at at the age of 52. The actor, who most recently starred on Riverdale, passed away on Monday, March 4 after suffering a stroke last week and being hospitalized on February 27. He was later placed “under observation” for five days, but his rep confirmed his passing in a statement to PEOPLE.

“Actor Luke Perry, 52, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke,” Perry’s rep confirmed in a statement. “He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time."

Following the news of his passing, celebrities and celebrity friends remembered Perry, who recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen with the Riverdale cast back in October 2018.
