Dr. Jackie Walters Shares the Most "Painful" Part of a Major Home Renovation
The Married to Medicine doc is give her Atlanta home a major facelift, and the process isn't easy.
Home renovation projects may look super easy on makeover shows, but anyone who’s actually lived through one knows the truth — it’s torture. Noise, dust, workers, delays, stress! It’s a situation Dr. Jackie Walters is finding herself in right now and she’s not too happy about it.
The Married to Medicine OBGYN purchased a gorgeous Atlanta manse a few months ago (take a tour of her pre-reno digs here) and immediately commenced a thorough redo of the top two floors. Dr. Jackie and husband Curtis have since taken refuge in the basement, and to say they’re ready for it to be over is an understatement. Jackie recently revealed the absolute worst part about it.
“The hardest part about renovating my home is living in my home and renovating my home," she told Home & Design. "I get to see everything. I get to see things they don’t do. I get to see when they leave early. I get to see when they leave Coca-Cola bottles in the wall. Yes. I get to look out at the port-a-potty that’s out of my house. Yeah. You cannot imagine. It’s painful.”
You know what they say, no pain, no gain. We can’t wait to see the results.
