These Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Brokers Have a Plan for Dorit Kemsley's LA Pad
The 8,679-square-foot home recently got a price chop.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles broker David Parnes recently nabbed the listing for Dorit Kemsley and her husband PK’s glam Beverly Hills manse, dubbed Dawnridge. But the question remains, just how is he going to sell it? The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and her husband, like many other famous folk, want to avoid lookie-loos and super-fans traipsing through their private domain to sneak a peek at their undie drawer during open houses — and who wouldn't really? (Reminder: A man pretending to be an interested buyer burglarized Dorit's home (and other celebrities) during an open house, but thankfully he was recently arrested.)
David recently told ET that he and his business partner James Harris would be deploying a standard celebrity home-selling practice — vetting buyers. “We just have to be very, very selective,” David said. “We have to vet people who come through the door. At the end of the day, it's not a spec house. This is their home and it has their life in there, and we have to be very, very respectful of that.”
But the lack of open houses shouldn’t be a concern, David said, because high-profile celebrity homes often sell themselves — if they’re priced right. And since David talked Dorit and PK down from their original $12.75 million price tag to the much more reasonable (if you’re insanely rich) price of $8.995 million, we are sure it will sail off the market in no time.
