Fredrik Eklund is used to working with celebrities like John Legend, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Dolph Lundgren on their real estate needs. However, when one of the world's biggest stars had her eye on a luxurious rental home, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles cast member wasn't her agent, but her competition.

"Apparently Mariah Carey — hi, Mariah! — was trying to rent this," Fredrik explained in the video above as he gave BravoTV.com a tour of his former rental. "But I snapped it up."

With 10 bedrooms, a "crazy big dining room," and an idyllic backyard, it's not hard to see why the house would pique major interest. "Look at this," Fredrik said as he looked at the home. "Am I in France? Am I in Italy? Am I in Bel-Air? I'm certainly not in Sweden anymore."

Fredrik recently bought a new home and has since moved out of the gorgeous rental. In an August interview with BravoTV.com, he explained why decided to make the move. "It was time for us to buy something here and really, you know, renovate and do something that would last for a very long time for us and our kids," he said. "We've been renting this one, and it's amazing, but it's not our forever home."
