See Inside Fredrik Eklund’s Twins' Sweet Nursery at Their New L.A. Home
The Million Dollar Listing New York agent has made the perfect nest for his twins on the West Coast.
Fredrik Eklund, his husband, Derek Kaplan, and their twins, Freddy and Milla, moved to the Hollywood Hills earlier this year in order for Fredrik to expand his business and become bicoastal. They created a home that suits Freddy and Milla and serves as a tranquil respite from work for Fredrik and Derek.
“For Fredrik and Derek’s home, we knew it was important to bring to life a true West Coast family fantasy for them, replete with vibrant colors, comfortable yet sculptural furniture, thoughtful accents, and a careful integration of their most beloved items from life back East,” Andrew Bowen, the Million Dollar Listing New York broker's designer, recently told Home & Design. “In all, it’s an intentionally significant departure from their former Manhattan residence.”
Fredrik has been generous about sharing glimpses of their West Coast abode on his social media feeds, but he normally shies away from showing too much of Freddy and Mills's inner sanctum. However, he did just offer a quick peek on his Instagram Stories that shows some of the sweet details of the twins' nursery while he reads a book of Five-Minute Stories to Freddy.
The nursery combines soft pinks and blues with natural shades of green to create a room that feels personal to both a girl and a boy.
An elephant lamp, small plant, and a oversized teddy bear are just a few of the accessories in the cozy room. We also love the two-tone crib and the natural, fringed rug. Life at home looks sweet for big Freddy and little Freddy!
