"Breaking news! I’m excited to announce we’ve expanded with a new office in Orange County with [Seth Nelson] and [Ariana Gaffoglio] joining the Eklund Gomes team," the Million Dollar Listing New York agent captioned an August 10 Instagram post. "Today we launch 20 listings together, including 33 Strand asking $27,500,000."

"Seth and Ariana’s previous local team was #1 in OC and #9 in the nation - and the two of them have a combined track record of two billion dollars in sales," he continued. "Of course I couldn’t be more honored to work alongside the two of them as our business is exploding in California. Perhaps most important they are already family to me."

In June, Fredrik opened up about the ups and downs of making the cross-country move. "Every day someone asks me if moving to LA from NY was the right choice so here it goes.... First off, we love California," he wrote on Instagram at the time. "I can go on about the sun, hiking, the twins in the pool, the parks, the food, the beaches, the sunsets, my convertible sex-on-wheels car, the 0 humidity bla bla ... Yes, it’s true what they say about Cali and it’s lifestyle!"

However, adjusting to business in California wasn't exactly seamless from the beginning. "Professionally, the move to LA was a little more difficult at the start. I felt like a salty Swedish fish out of water," he wrote. "Naturally I had a lot to learn and a lot of people to meet. I realize now just how much I used to identify myself with being the top dog in NYC and having to start over more or less in LA. I ruffled some feathers as you’ll see on MDLLA this season but I’ve also made a lot of friends and feel just at home in LA as I do in New York professionally today."
