There's Something About...SOMA
Andrew says that his favorite neighborhood in San Francisco is South of Market, or SOMA, which consists of luxury high rises and loft-style apartments.
"Iconic San Francisco"
The Ferry building, located along the San Francisco Bay, is where Andrew loves to meet clients because of its fantastic eateries. He also says this is one of the best places in the city to get coffee.
Located in the Financial District and adjacent to SOMA, The Battery is a another place to enjoy cuisine, cocktails, and coffee.
Andrew's real estate dreams have come true in SOMA...
Andrew sold a $12M, 3,400 square foot residence at The Millennium in SOMA. To get an idea of what an accomplishment that was, the average residence in the neighborhood sells for $906/sq ft, and this one sold for $3,529/sq ft.
Andrew's dream listing in this neighborhood?
The Penthouse Collection at The Millennium.
Who's living here?
Andrew says younger successful techies and people who work in the financial markets are the biggest buyers in this area.
Making US history
SOMA is the home to a 20,000 square foot penthouse, which was once on the market for $70M, according to Andrew. The owner then lost it in foreclosure, making it the single largest residential foreclosure in US history. Sadly, it only sold for $28M.
