Kris Jenner Couldn't Afford a Tomato After She Divorced Robert Kardashian

Now she can buy diamonds the size of tomatoes.

Kris Jenner reveals that she was once so broke, she couldn’t even afford tomatoes.

Yes, just when we think we knew everything about the famous momager, she says in a new interview that when her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, filed for divorce, he cut off her credit cards because he was pissed she had an affair.

“I didn’t have anything,” she tells OBJECTified. “I went to the market one day and my credit card didn’t work. I had a market credit card and I’m like, ‘I can’t even buy a tomato.’”

Well, look at her now.

Kris had cheated on Robert with a professional soccer player, and calls it one of the biggest regrets of her life. She says Robert discovering the affair and filing for divorce left her devastated.

“Because it made it real,” she says. “Like, you think you’re going to come through this period — that was really hard for me.”

She called her time with Robert the “happiest life you could’ve dreamt about,” but was feeling like there was a hole somewhere. So she sought out a new love.

“But when you’re in something, sometimes people think the grass is always greener and that was like what I think I went through at some point.”

Kris was married to Robert from 1978 to 1991. He died of esophageal cancer in 2003 at the age of 59, leaving behind Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert Jr.
