Lance Bass and Michael Turchin Are Hoping for Twin Babies — Via Their *Seventh* Egg Donor!
The former NSYNC singer opened up about the string of donors he and his hubby have been through.
When Lance Bass first opened up about working with a surrogate to (hopefully!) have twin babies, the former boy-band member said that the woman would be a permanent part of his extended family. He and husband Michael Turchin lived very close to the surrogate, he noted, adding: "She's going to be a part of our life for the rest of our lives."
And from his recent comments, it looks like Bass may have waited a long time to find a surrogate he felt so sure about... but hasn't yet found a suitable egg donor to get the process started.
Speaking to Us Weekly at a recent event, the singer said, "We’re already on donor number seven right now, so I think we broke a record with how many donors we’ve gone through." He then added, "But it’s looking like this next one is actually going to work."
Bass and Turchin are hoping to have twins, one boy and one girl, as Turchin is a fraternal twin.
And when he and Turchin are proud dads, will they be seeking any advice from Bass' former bandmates, including Justin Timberlake? "Once we have them, I’m sure all the guys [from NSYNC] with their babies will come out and give us as much hints as they can to be a better dad," he said. He added of Timberlake, "He’s just a loving dad. A lot of the dads get a lot of flak for not showing up in kids’ lives, always being gone, always being the one that works too much, and with Justin’s schedule the way it is, he’s still an incredible father. He’s a present father. And that’s hard to do."
