Chanel's Sister's "Wedding of the Century"
Chanel describes how she felt during Ashley's wedding.
"Everyone has the ability to turn their life in to a fairytale"
Dear Bravo Readers,
First and foremost I have to say, "Wahoo!" The wedding of the century has finally come, and now its over! I am so happy you all got to join me and my family for one of the happiest times in our lives.
Now you got to see what a modern orthodox Jewish wedding looks like! It was a really special and intimate moment for me and my sister at the wedding ceremony. I was so happy to see how happy she was. Truthfully, that's all that matters. I am so over the "pressure" of getting married and realized that I will find the ONE when I stop searching for him!
Being a maid of honor is not an easy job. I am really proud of myself that I was able to be there for my sister every step of the way and really show her how much her special day with her husband meant to me. My sister has made me realize when you put your mind to something, you can make your life become a fairytale. I see how she has done it for herself in all aspects of her life, including love, something we all strive to obtain in our lives. And that's why she is my rock.
I also realized that blood is thicker than water and no matter how loud or big or up in my business my family is, they will always be my family and I am blessed to have such a close relationship w them and emotional support from them.
I was really nervous that I couldn't get through my speech without crying, but I managed to do so!!
I would have loved to have all the girls at the wedding but there were already 500 people invited, and it was up to my sister, who was paying for the seating.
Never meant to offend anyone or hurt people's feelings. The girls understand that if it was my wedding it would be a different story, and they would all be there to celebrate with me!
I know many of you would like to know I want to give a shoutout to the following people who were able to make the Omari women look and feel like real princesses: Promoutfitters.com (my mother's dress and the bridesmaid dresses), The Wedding Salon in Manhasset, NY (my sisters stunning wedding dress, which I picked out for her), Jovanifashions.com (my maid of honor dress), VS1 hair salon in Great Neck, NY as well as hair stylist, Erica Starrr who now works there! We couldn't have looked that good without one of the best makeup artists in NYC, Leila.
And I want to thank Madame Paulette for customizing our buleros and preserving and altering our dresses because they are the best dry cleaners in the city !
