Christian Siriano’s Country Home Is Explosively Colorful (and Awesome)
The designer and Bravo's Project Runway whiz has a stunning Connecticut getaway home.
When he’s not outfitting the likes of Michelle Obama and Leslie Jones or keeping pace with the frenetic fashion world, designer and Project Runway mentor Christian Siriano heads to the one place he can find peace and serenity: his rural Connecticut retreat. Christian has been sharing snaps of his gorgeous country home on his Instagram account lately, and it is no surprise to find out it's just as fab as he is.
The stately 19th-century colonial home is dressed in a riot of color and stuffed with art and numerous antique treasures. We can’t stop and won't stop ogling it! Let’s take a closer look.
Christian bought the charming cedar-shingled home in 2013, and he married Brad Walsh in the backyard in 2016 (the couple announced their split last summer). Christian has an apartment in New York, and uses the house as a peaceful weekend getaway.
Christian has a passion for antique finds and all sorts of knickknacks. The home's interiors are an explosion of color, texture, and character, and gives the designer a place to indulge his passion for textiles, obviously. "Country house is looking crazy colorful today on this beautiful holiday weekend!" he recently wrote on Instagram.
The color green is a recurring theme throughout the house, and we are totally crushing on all the reupholstered vintage finds. The dogs seem to be into them, too!
What is the best little nook in the home? According to Christian, it's the rustic wood-beamed bath featuring a vintage sink and clawfoot tub for deep soaks. We can smell that lavender from here.
Let's not forget the pool, outfitted with the best accessories of all: three giant pool floats, looking ready for summer to be in full swing. Be sure to catch Project Runway on Thursdays at 9/8c!
