Take a Look at Every Gorgeous Outfit Christian Siriano Created for the 2020 Oscars
The Project Runway mentor brought a series of stunning looks to the biggest night of awards season.
Christian Siriano knows how to design a show-stopping red carpet look, as we’ve seen time and time again. The Project Runway mentor created head-turning ensembles for everyone from Lizzo to Shania Twain for the Grammys just a couple of weeks ago. And now, he’s back at it again for the 2020 Oscars, producing gorgeous creations for several of Hollywood's A-list stars.
Christian created this lovely pink gown for Julia Butters, who received critical acclaim for her role alongside Hollywood heavy-hitters Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The young actress told E!’s Giuliana Rancic that it was a “lifelong dream” to wear one of his designs and even had a hand in the design, collaborating with the designer on the details on the ensemble. She looked beautiful in this pastel-hued dress featuring a buttoned top with a collar, ruffled sleeves, and a flowy skirt.
Chrissy Metz looked red-hot in this fiery custom design. The This Is Us star was downright stunning, rocking this bright, off-the-shoulder gown with a long, pleated skirt. She kept her hair and jewelry simple, keeping the focus entirely on the stunning, eye-catching dress. Topping the look: a matching red lip, of course!
Kelly Ripa looked elegant in this black, one-shoulder ball gown with a full two-tiered skirt. The TV host let the regal ensemble speak for itself, completing the look with a classic updo and gorgeous glory makeup. She also kept her jewelry at a minimum, opting for a pair of beautiful emerald earrings.
Elaine Welteroth, who participated in E!'s red carpet panel, also looked gorgeous in this amazing blush-colored gown. The bestselling author and former Teen Vogue editor-in-chief practically glowed in the strapless design, which features a pleated top, fitted waist, and a long caped skirt.
Though Leona Lewis didn't actually attend the Oscars ceremony, she did slay a Christian Siriano design for some Oscars-related festivities. The singer stunned in this breathtaking, off-the-shoulder black mermaid gown. We can't get enough of all of the dreamy details on this number, from the tulle-accented top to the fitted silhouette and voluminous fishtail skirt.
Billy Porter had a violet-hued moment at the legendary Vanity Fair Oscar party. The singer and actor — whom Christian called "The KING of glamour" — wore a custom purple cape with a ruffled, feathery top. A wide-brimmed made the look even more playful and dramatic.
For his longtime friend — and Oscars party date! — Alicia Silverstone, Christian designed a sparkling, fringed gown that didn't need the Kira Kira app to light up the red carpet.
