Brandon Maxwell is known for creating sophisticated yet wearable designs, and his Fall/Winter 2020 collection, which just made its debut at New York Fashion Week, is no exception. The show took place against the backdrop of the Hall of North American Mammals in Manhattan’s American Museum of Natural History, a perfect homage to the Project Runway judge's East Texas roots. It was a boisterous, upbeat affair full of unforgettable looks and plenty of famous faces in attendance. Check out some of the best moments of Brandon’s big night.

The earthy, neutral color palette came alive on his impeccably tailored designs. From flowing chiffon capes paired over low-cut pants to structured jackets paired with Western-style boots, we don’t know what look we love more. But we do know one thing: We have some amazing new fashion inspo!

Luxe fabrics were at the center of it all. Brandon’s appreciation for opulent materials were on full display in every gorgeous piece of his collection. Slinky satin, eye-catching tortoiseshell, soft corduroy and leather, and plush fleece were just some of the flashy textiles incorporated throughout the stunning runway looks.

Bella Hadid rocked the runway. Yolanda Hadid’s younger daughter is always a staple at fashion week, and Brandon’s show was no different. The supermodel slayed not one, but two looks from the beautiful collection, including a casual but sexy sportswear ensemble and a bold, all-black ballgown that put her abs on display.

Speaking of ballgowns, did we mention the splendid evening wear? Brandon continued to play with elements in his more formal pieces, featuring everything from structured satin dresses to sheer, flowy numbers.

The men’s looks were equally breathtaking. Having recently launched a menswear collection, Brandon also took the opportunity to display new pieces from the expanded line. Like the women’s collection, the men’s range was full of buttery fabrics in simple, sophisticated shapes.

Brandon closed the night with a fiery closing number. For his grand finale, the designer chose a stunning red chiffon gown accented with a bow at the neck. The piece was made specifically for the Museum's upcoming exhibition "The Nature of Color," according to USA Today.

Project Runway was in the house. Cheering Brandon on from the front was his fellow Project Runway cast member, Karlie Kloss, sitting alongside artist Saweetie and activist Noor Tagouri. Gabi Butler and Lexi Brumback, the breakout stars of the Netflix docuseries Cheer, also put their spirit on display at the show.
