Christian Siriano Designed Jennifer Hudson's Stunning Gown for the NAACP Image Awards
The actress paired the black corset Christian Siriano gown with one-of-a-kind Gismondi 1754 earrings and a small velvet clutch.
Jennifer Hudson brought the glamour to the 2022 NAACP Image Awards. The Respect actress, who won the Entertainer of the Year award, dazzled at the show in a gown from a beloved Project Runway designer.
For her red-carpet look, Hudson picked an elegant dress from Christian Siriano's Fall 2022 line. The black velvet frock with a built-in corset featured a flirty, ruffled neckline that exposed one shoulder. The curve-hugging number fell all the way to the floor, covering Hudson's Jimmy Choo heels. Stylist Law Roach paired the singer's sleek ensemble with a large emerald cut ring, small black clutch, and dangly one-of-a-kind pear-shaped Gismondi 1754 diamond earrings.
To add to the allure, Hudson rocked a wavy blunt bob with a deep side part. Her gorgeous makeup consisted of winged black eyeliner, fluttery lashes, and a bronzed finish that highlighted her natural glow. Perhaps the best part of her glam was her manicure: long, pink stiletto-shaped nails with sparkly silver crystal accents on each ring finger.
Christian couldn't contain his love for Hudson's incredible look. On February 27, the Project Runway designer took to Instagram, writing, "QUEENNN [Jennifer Hudson] in Siriano tonight at the [NAACP Image Award] looking so chic. Wow!! Congratulations Jennifer!"
The award-winning actress also shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram page the same day. "Wow !!! All I can say is thank u God and thank u [NAACP Image Awards] for these awards," she wrote. "I’m beyond humbled and grateful for this honor. I also have to thank my amazing [Respect movie] family! These are for u, Ms. Franklin!"
