Bethenny Frankel is kicking off the new year with the person who taught her the meaning of true love: her daughter, Bryn. The Real Housewives of New York City alum recently took to Instagram to share an update on her and her daughter as they ushered in 2022, and to reveal how much being a mother to her "Peanut" has changed her.

"Peanut and I are starting strong in 2022," Bethenny wrote in the caption of her January 4 post. She continued, "Being a mother has infinitely changed my perspective. I don’t believe in new year’s resolutions but I do believe in daily and weekly resolutions: to be a better person, parent, philanthropist, and partner. I strive for peace and balance in all areas of my life. We certainly won’t achieve perfection but the journey outweighs the destination. We are constantly growing and evolving on our own and with those around us."

Recently, the mother-daughter duo closed out the year with a fun trip to Aspen, where Bethenny revealed in an Instagram video just how much the pair enjoyed Colorado cuisine. "We ate our way through Aspen," she wrote, along with the hashtags, "food tour," "momma and peanut," and "adventures" in the caption of her December 31 post.

The doting mom also shared a sweet photo with Bryn wearing similar winter styles with matching pom-pom beanies. Bethenny wrote in the caption of her December 31 post, "That’s my girl…" to which RHONY's Sonja Morgan replied with the hashtag "Peanut" in the comments.

Bethenny has previously opened up about how much becoming a mom to Bryn has impacted her life, saying in a birthday tribute to her daughter on Instagram, "The day you were born was the greatest moment of my life and everyday you continue to amaze me. I’m so lucky because I get to be your mom!"

In addition to spending time with her little girl, and opening up about how motherhood has changed her, Bethenny also shared highlights from her "rollercoaster" of a year. "This year had many pivotal moments in all areas of my life," she wrote in the caption of her December 31 Instagram post, which featured a series of photos, including Bethenny with Bryn, as well as with her fiancé, Paul Bernon.

Bethenny added in her post, "I hit my stride in embarking on a new career in podcasting and ended my journey as a native New Yorker. I entered a new phase in my relationship in getting engaged and I was finally able to detach my shoulders from my neck in ending nearly a decade long excruciating personal legal battle. I continued to build [BStrong] and we impacted and saved lives worldwide growing stronger in our mission to aid those affected by devastating disasters. What a rollercoaster it has been. Perhaps 2022 will be a year for exhaling."
