The Six Biggest Shockers from the Shahs of Sunset Reunion
Walkouts, tears, and a hug that we never saw coming.
Tears, screaming, and walk outs: It wouldn't be a reunion show without them. The Shahs of Sunset had a lot to discuss after the explosive season finale at Asa Soltan Rahmati's art show left Reza Farahan and "Golnesa Gharachedaghi's friendship in shambles and many questions unanswered. The crew sat down with Andy Cohen and opened up about a lot of sensitive subjects ranging from Mike Shouhed and Jessica's divorce to "Mercedes Javid and Tommy's plans for a family. But in case you missed it, we've got the six biggest reveals from the Season 5 reunion.
1. Asa and MJ's Friendship is Over
At least according to MJ. When the ladies begin to discuss comments that MJ's mother Vida made on Watch What Happens Live about Asa using the show to promote her kaftan business, the shouting begins. Asa says that MJ has failed to be a loyal friend and MJ retaliates by saying that the two "will never be friends again."
2. Reza Came Out to MJ's Parents Before His Own
Vida doesn't only stir the pot, she's also been there for the Shahs through some very tough times. Reza revealed that MJ's parents knew he was gay before his own parents knew. He tears up recounting the story, remembering the love and acceptance he got from them during that emotional time.
3. Shervin Thinks the Shahs Didn't Want Him on The Show
Shervin joined the cast this year and expressed that he felt a bit of tension as the newcomer. Reza pushed back, stating that the original crew didn't like having him around simply because he enables GG's bad behavior.
4. MJ Reveals Her Wedding Date
Although Vida is still very vocal about her dislike of Tommy and lack of confidence in MJ's engagement to him, MJ proudly revealed a June 2017 wedding date for the couple. Maybe Tommy will be able to win Vida over by then!
5. Reza and GG Reconcile...Kind of
With a hug we thought would never happen, Reza and GG agree that there is a small chance their relationship could be saved. After all of the tears and screaming, GG followed Reza back to his trailer to make a truce and try to move on. Reza, although admittedly emotionally drained, said he would consider it, which is more than we ever saw coming for these two. A picturesque hug seals the deal, but only time will tell if Reza and GG can move on from all that's happened.
