The Shahs of Sunset Cast's Friendsgiving Dinner Went Up in Flames — No, Really
The Shahs of Sunset cast members brought the heat to Nema Vand and London Laed's dinner party in more ways than one.
On Shahs of Sunset's July 11 episode, the cast's Friendsgiving dinner was filled with some particularly heated moments. No, we mean really heated moments.
"I just want to sit and break bread with people that I love and care about," Nema Vand told Mike Shouhed and London Laed, who offered to have the occasion at her mom's Malibu home. In an interview, Nema added, "I wanted to host my first Friendsgiving because this group of friends is family to me, and I love them like family, but I'm watching a divide. So now I'm just hoping that the people that I love will just have a good time."
As the group, also including Reza Farahan, Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi, Destiney Rose, and Mercedes "MJ" Javid, sat down at London's elegant outdoor table, things quickly got off to a hot start. "Oh my god, there's something on fire!" London yelled as a piece of table decor was engulfed in flames. Several people jumped to help, and the flame was quickly extinguished. Of course, that was only the beginning of the night's drama, but despite the brief fire, London's tablescape looked absolutely gorgeous.
Other members of the group have also been known to create over-the-top setups to celebrate a variety of occasions. In 2019, Reza threw the fanciest housewarming party, and the following year, Destiney hosted a jaw-dropping outdoor fete in honor of Halloween. In April 2021, GG went all out on a farm-themed 1st birthday party for her son, Elijah, and MJ hosted a Mets-themed bash for her son Shams' 2nd birthday the same month.
