Mercedes "MJ" Javid Defends Her Bold Yellow Eyeshadow Look

Mercedes "MJ" Javid has exactly zero time for haters, especially when it comes to mean comments on her appearance. On May 18, the Shahs of Sunset star appeared in an Instagram Live video with infertility and reproductive endocrinology specialist Dr. Shahin Ghadir to break down some of the stigmas around IVF and talk about her own fertility journey as well. While MJ's video featured insightful information, it appears that all many people could comment on was MJ's makeup look. 

For the video session, MJ tried her hand at a bold makeup look featuring a wash of bright yellow eyeshadow along her eyelids paired with a bronzed complexion. Apparently, many of MJ's followers had strong feelings about her playful beauty look and posted unwarranted comments. However, in true MJ fashion, the Shahs stunner quickly shut them down. 

"Omg, everyone commenting on my eyeshadow, relax! Ya'll have issues that DON'T WASH OFF," she wrote.

In response to an IG user, who told MJ, "Ignore the haters. You're fab," MJ replied: "The shallowness of it all. Here I am trying to eliminate the stigma of IVF and help women have successful pregnancies and they just focus on eyeshadow?" She added, "People are getting way too bored and negative."
