Lucky Number
Nicole Obert's diary entry all about the wig challenge.
Short Cut Challenge #5 Beach Boys I AM SO FU***** EXCITED! We got to cut hair at the beach today! My dream come true! We woke up this morning to find flip-flops at the counter. I picked #3. I had first pick and picked my lucky number! I had a feeling picking number 1 was a bad idea, and I was right! We got to the beach, and in roll the surfer boys with numbers on their arms. Mine looked like Kyle, SO HOT! We had 30 minutes to transform them from beach boys to clean polished men. I did a classic layer with outline. I FU***** WON THE DAMN CHALLENGE! As if my day wasn't perfect already! Jacquline said I would have the biggest advantage in tomorrow's challenge but what would it be?
Elimination Challenge #5 Bald & Beautiful In today's challenge we were working with women who had alopecia. We had to cut and style wigs that lifted their spirits. I picked Lelanie. I got to choose someone to have an hour and 45 minutes to style (same time frame as me) 2 stylists to start after that (1:35) and leave 4 stylists to the allotted time of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Lelanie hasn't had hair in 12 years. Her husband of 10 years left her when her hair fell out, and since then she has blamed her hair loss for all of her misfortune. She never found a wig that she felt expressed who she was. Lelanie wanted MY haircut. You can't cut hair that short on a wig! But I've never cut a wig before, so, I said I'm gonna go all out, do WHATEVER she wants and take all the blame for whatever happens from the very first cut of that wig. I thought I was going home. I'VE NEVER CUT A WIG BEFORE! WHAT THE F*** WAS I DOING? I had a mental breakdown and Rene had to help me get it together, and in the end I wound up in the top 2 and Paulo won. Of course I didn't. Gail went home. Winner--Paulo Loser--Gail
