Brandon Branch Opened a Historic Inn and It’s Oozing Southern Charm
The Southern Charm Savannah cast member purchased the historic home last year, and it's now open for guests!
Southern Charm Savannah’s Brandon Branch and his husband, Jim Johnston, purchased the storied old St. Francisville Inn outside of New Orleans last year. Ever since, the couple has set about lovingly restoring the gorgeous Queen Anne Victorian home to its former glory — repairing hardwood floors and walls, landscaping and laying grass where there was once gravel, and updating the furnishings and decor, while still keeping the inn true to itself.
With most of the work complete, Brandon opened the inn to the public last week and has been sharing the fruits of his labors on Instagram... and the results are stunning! Let’s take a look.
The beautiful Victorian home in St. Francisville, Louisiana, was built by a wealthy horse and cattle speculator in 1897. It boasts lovely Queen Anne and Palladian windows and a stunning Colonial Revival porch along with standout period details.
The elegant front porch has been painstakingly restored and is now set up for outdoor dining.
The bar area was completely updated with new furnishings, wallpaper, and window coverings.
Of course, there is a freshwater pool for staying cool in the Louisiana heat — and it comes with poolside service. Frozen cocktail, anyone?
The inn's 11 guest rooms have been completely updated and provide the ultimate retreat, with bathrooms awash in Carrara-marble and amenities in the form of L'Occitane and Egyptian cotton linens.
