Obsessed with Patricia Altschul's Green Living Room? We Tracked Down the Exact Paint Color
The Southern Charm doyenne has one of the most stylish homes in Charleston.
It’s hard not to obsess about Patricia Altschul’s stunning Charleston, South Carolina home. The antebellum landmark makes frequent scene-stealing appearances on Southern Charm, and Patricia even opened her doors for a full house tour this year (which we watched over and over again). Designed in collaboration with the legendary late decorator Mario Buatta, also known as the “Prince of Chintz,” the house takes swag to dizzying heights.
But the thing we’re most obsessed with is Patricia’s iconic drawing room, which is painted in the most alluring shade of green. “It's called Apple Green. It’s very cheery. It looks good day, night, cloudy,” Patricia noted in the house tour.
However, there are hundreds of "apple green" shades on the market. And the fact that Mario Buatta mixed the paint onsite at Patricia's home doesn't help. But after some deep internet sleuthing we can now say this beguiling shade of green is Benjamin Moore Apple Green. "This is the closest you can get," Patricia told an Instagram fan.
This luminous green could brighten up any room. The color also nicely complements the Meyer lemon trees just outside on Patricia’s elegant piazza and brings some of her wonderful garden shades indoors. We’re thinking Apple Green might just be the perfect color to welcome in spring.
Southern Charm Season 6 premieres May 15 at 8/7c.
