Eliza Limehouse's Pretty Pink Bracelets Allow You to Support a Special Cause
The Southern Charm jewelry designer supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a stylish way.
October is the perfect time of year to take full advantage of fall activities like apple picking, hay rides, and of course, picking out a Halloween costume, but in the midst of these festive outings is a cause that deserves our attention: Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
As someone who holds this cause near to her heart, Eliza Limehouse has decided to team up with Norton and Hodges to help support this movement. Norton and Hodges designed a bracelet for charity called the “Be Bold” bracelet as part of the “Be Bold Program.” 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of the bracelet will be donated to the Hollings Cancer Center and Everyday Everest to help fund two mobile health units that will provide breast cancer screenings and healthcare to women in underserved populations in South Carolina.
The Southern Charm jewelry designer also released a special pink bracelet called "Make a Difference" for her line, Snaffle Bit Bracelet Company, and will be donating 50 percent of the proceeds to the mobile health initiative.
"It's one thing to know one out of every eight women will get breast cancer, but it's another thing when it happens to one of your friends. My friend, Suzette Bussey, an accessories designer in Charleston, was diagnosed four weeks ago. Her Be Bold bracelet has taken on a whole new meaning for her. Suzette's cancer was found during her annual mammogram. But many women don't get screened because they don't have access to health care," Eliza shared.
For those who would like to support this cause: You can purchase the "Be Bold" Bracelet for $20 at nortonandhodges.com and Eliza's "Make a Difference" bracelet for $48 at snafflebitbraceletcompany.com.
