Thomas: I've Gained a Small Piece of Immortality
Thomas talks about being a new father and what he's been up to since last season.
Bravotv.com: What have you been up to since we last saw you?
Thomas Ravenel: Well, obviously, raising a new baby. Also, I develop and own shopping centers, so I've been focused on maintaining my existing portfolio, ensuring the properties are well maintained, leased, and are profitable. Also, we are getting the horses ready for the spring Aiken Polo season.
So I not only gained a small piece of immortality but also a profound sense of responsibility and the virtue of patience.”
Bravotv.com: What has been the most surprising part of adjusting to life as a dad?
TR: How it gives you a true sense of responsibility and how you quickly develop the virtue of patience. I remember literally leaving employees who check their baggage at the airport. I always travel with a carry-on. I'd never wait on those employees; I'd just grab a cab and tell them I'd see them at the office. So I not only gained a small piece of immortality but also a profound sense of responsibility and the virtue of patience.
Bravotv.com: Were you adamant about there being a second Christening, or were you trying to appease Kathryn?
TR: I wasn't adamant about a second Christening nor was I opposed. I guess it was just a wonderful blessing we all wanted to continue celebrating.
