Austen Kroll Shows Off His Eclectic Christmas Tree: "I’m Very Pleased"
The Southern Charm-er has amassed an impressive collection of novelty ornaments, some of which are decades old.
Forget boughs of holly. Austen Kroll is decking the halls with pop-culture references.
In the days leading up to December, the Southern Charm cast member joined the growing list of Bravolebrities who showcased their beautiful Christmas trees. While some opted for a trendy and well-defined aesthetic, Austen took a more individualistic approach and presented a tree that reflected his likes and personality.
The podcast host/sales professional unveiled his festive conifer on November 29, as he was about to finish the decorating process. Austen placed the mid-sized tree next to a living room window and his wall-mounted TV, which was playing an epic adventure film.
“Well, I’m very pleased with my Christmas tree and all the ornaments I put up yesterday,” he said in the Instagram Story. “Also, yes, that is Lord of the Rings in the background.”

Austen then zoomed into the tree that was adorned with classic white lights, a red plaid tree skirt, and a wide variety of ornaments. Pieces included a sparkly pizza slice, a white tiger head, a Colorado plate, a purple boot, and an adorable pig. However, Austen told viewers that the tree was not yet completed, as he overlooked a storage tub filled with more decorations.
“I completely missed this box,” he said. “I don’t know how I did, but I did. It was labeled ‘Austen’s Christmas ornaments.’ What a doofus.”
Austen then turned the camera toward his living room coffee table, where he had laid out more than a dozen ornaments, including a white bauble that featured his name spelled out in animal-shaped letters.
“But I found some awesome gems I’m about to put up. Like, look at all these,” he said before highlighting the “Austen” piece. “This one, right here, I’ve been putting up since I was, like, 5.”
While some of the ornaments were pretty classic, like a few glittery red baubles and a Santa Claus figurine, many were novelty pieces that nodded to beloved films. There was an interactive Harry Potter and Ron Weasley knick-knack, a Deathly Hallows symbol, and the famous leg lamp from A Christmas Story.
“Lots of good ones, goodies — a little [Harry Potter] Sorting Hat, a Caddyshack one…” he said. “So, I’m gonna put these up.”
Austen Kroll's Charleston Home
Austen purchased his Charleston abode in 2021 and has spent the past two years making it his own. He provided a home update in early October, after his Southern Charm castmate Rodrigo Reyes helped him decorate a couple of rooms.
“Soo once again, I’m almost embarrassed to admit, but I’ve been in my house for almost two years, and my two guest rooms were finally completed by my incredibly talented friend [Rodrigo Reyes],” he wrote on his Instagram Stories. "Can't forget the personal touch with the custom made picture by [Rodrigo], which match the color (mountain road) with a subtle nod to [Trophop Beers]."
