Paige DeSorbo Shares What She & Craig Conover "Really Need" at His House in Charleston
The Summer House cast member thinks her Southern Charm boyfriend's renovated home is "so cute," but there are a couple of items missing.
Season 9 of Southern Charm has documented Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo putting the final touches on his newly renovated Charleston house. On the season premiere, Craig explained, “When me and Paige first started to date, the house was still in shambles... I think this house is finally to the level where I can start to look at the future, and the future of me and Paige’s relationship.”
On Season 9 Episode 10, which aired on November 16, the couple discussed the progress of the house, and while Paige was thrilled with how it seemed to be coming along, she had a few suggestions for how to make it feel complete.
How Paige DeSorbo feels about Craig Conover's newly renovated house
As Paige and Craig chatted about the home during their dinner date, Paige said, "I love it. I think it's so cute, and I think it's still, like, masculine enough, but like a home." Craig agreed, declaring, "It's put together, it's organized, and it's like a real house." However, Paige added, "Really, the only thing more that I feel like we really need are nightside tables and curtains."
While Craig wanted to get his house done so Paige would feel comfortable in Charleston, he noted she wasn't bothered by the renovation process. "You were like, 'Look, I loved visiting you when it was a construction site,'" he said to Paige. "But, you know, I wanted somewhere where you felt at home too."
During the conversation, Paige made it clear that she's not ready to move to Charleston full-time just yet. The couple has been discussing their long-distance arrangement throughout the season, but they haven't always seen eye-to-eye on the subject.
As Craig noted, one reason Paige wanted to stay in New York City was that she didn't have a strong social circle in Charleston just yet.
"If I move down here, I'd want to be like — get in my own car and be like, 'OK, I'm gonna go hang out with my girlfriends,'" Paige said, to which Craig responded, "I would love that."
Paige DeSorbo talks about designing Craig Conover's house
Paige opened up about working on the interior design of Craig's house during an August Amazon Live. "I wanted it to be all light and bright colors, but it is more on the neutral side," she said. "I did add in a lot of green and blue, but they're like muted greens. He has no black at all. My one rule was that in his house… I didn't want any black in Charleston. I just felt like black and white is very New York, very northeast. I didn't want it to feel the exact same down there."
"So, we went full color down there…but still [included] ivories," she continued. "I made him get a white couch, which he just spilled cherries on the other day, and so we're not speaking. It's a whole thing over there. But yes, his is very different because it's just a different vibe down there…I wanted it to be a little more preppy. [My apartment] is a little more chic.”
