See Every Jaw-Dropping Detail of Leva Bonaparte's Persian Dinner Party
The new Southern Charm cast member turned her home into a "magical Persian palace."
On Southern Charm's November 12 episode, new cast member Leva Bonaparte hosted a lavish dinner party to give her friends a deeper look inside her life and culture.
"I feel like most of my friends, they don't know our story. So I want to invite them over for a Persian dinner," Leva told her mother, Nahid, during the episode. "We'll just do a big, nice Mehmooni [party with food and drinks] dinner the way you used to back in the day." To prepare for the special evening, Leva turned to Nahid for some guidance in the kitchen, declaring, "I authentically need you to help me cook."
After spending all day cooking ("in Persian culture it's a gesture of friendship," Leva explained) and transforming her home with stunning décor, Leva's efforts clearly paid off. "This looks so great," Danni Baird said upon entering the home, which was adorned with candles, flowers, and chic lighting as well as several colorful rugs and pillows on the side tables and floor.
"It doesn't even look like my house," Leva said. "Welcome to our magical Persian palace."
As the friends, including Madison LeCroy and Kathryn Dennis, sat on floor pillows surrounding a beautifully-decorated glass table, they were blown away by the meal, which included vegetables, hummus, a sweet rice with nuts and oranges, pomegranate chicken with walnuts and butternut squash, and rice with saffron chicken and barberries. "Welcome to my world," Leva said as the group took their seats. "I mean, it's not always like this."
