When it comes to plastic surgery, Madison LeCroy is not one to stay secretive about the work she has had done. The Southern Charm cast member recently underwent an hours-long "fully mommy makeover" and took her followers along for the journey. Now, the Charleston mama who was simply hoping to "tweak a little bit," is opening up to Bravo Insider about her procedure—from her decision to stay transparent to how she’s feeling post-op.

“I wanted to open up the conversation, because I feel like people think that [plastic surgery] is such an easy way out,” she said, explaining that misconceptions often create a false narrative that insecurities can be easily erased with cosmetic procedures. “But the thing was, I put in so much work. I worked out, I ate well, and there were things that I just could not change. And that is because I had a ten pound baby, and every mother knows that things are very different after that.”

Although Madison had never previously undergone surgery, this was something she had on her mind “for so long.” Eventually, she made the decision to meet with Dr. Patrick J. O’Neill, a Charleston-based plastic surgeon.

“He was realistic. He’s like, ‘I don’t think you need that,’ or, ‘I think this is gonna fit you,’” Madison noted. “I just wanted to make sure that it was tasteful, and I was happy. I don’t want people to look at my chest before they look at me as an individual, and be like, ‘Oh my god.’”

After going under anesthesia for the first time for a few hours of surgery, Madison left feeling "loopy" and wondering, “what have I done?” As her recovery progressed, she described the pain as "not that bad," although, “having my abdominal muscles put back together was probably one of the worst pains I’ve ever been in.”

Madison has finally reached the point in her recovery where she is able to resume exercise. So how is she feeling about her procedures? “I’m very happy with my results. And I recommend it for anyone who has insecurities about something that they try to fix over and over. But, I recommend putting in the hard work before you go through a surgery.”

As content as Madison may be with her results, she’s not rushing to get another procedure anytime soon.

“I think I’m done,” explained Madison. “I mean, I’m sure when I get older, there may be things that I’ll end up doing. Like yes, I do get Botox in my forehead. Do I mess with anything else in my face? I don’t. I’m not gonna do anything. I’m not gonna try to fix my crooked lip that I was born with, ‘cause that’s just who I am. That’s like a part of me. I’m okay with that. I’m okay with imperfections.”
