See Inside Madison LeCroy’s Stunning New Charleston House: “It’s Just Bliss”
“I’ve never been this happy in my life,” the Southern Charm beauty said of sharing the gorgeous four-bedroom home with her fiancé and son.
In March, after Madison LeCroy and her fiancé, Brett, put an offer on what is now their new "dream" home, the Southern Charm beauty told BravoTV.com that moving from a downtown Charleston apartment to a "family neighborhood" would, naturally, "be an adjustment." Now that Madison, Brett, and her son, Hudson, have officially moved in, it's safe to say they are successfully acclimating to their new surroundings.
"I literally am living in Pleasantville, like in the best way possible. Everyone is just so welcoming. I've never been this happy in my life," Madison shared with BravoTV.com last month. "I could cry every day because it's just bliss."
Although they're still getting settled in the 2,858-square-foot home, Madison has already received some major props from her neighbors. "I don't want to go and brag, but I just got 'yard of the month,'" she said. As you can see in the video above of her formal rental property, maintaining beautiful exteriors has been a longtime passion of Madison's. "It was just something that me and Hudson would do together," she shared. "Now that this [yard] is mine, I'm like hand-picking leaves out of the cracks of my staircase."
Madison is also adding her personal "flair" to the home's interior. "It's very traditional, Southern, double porch, white. I'm definitely going to keep it classic, but with a touch of modern," she said. "But not coastal and not farm style."
Although Madison said Brett loves "everything" she does in terms of interior design, the Maven salon owner has been surprised by her fiancé's strong opinions about their new furniture and decor. "We had our first little tiff about [it] — it's funny because he's not like this," Madison recalled. "I went table shopping yesterday, and he's like, 'Make sure you send me a picture!' So I buy this table. It's beautiful. He's like, 'Oh, I don't know.' I was like, 'What?!'"
Ultimately, Madison found a different "dream table" they both love.
Some other forthcoming additions to the home include a swing bed for the porch and a new island in the kitchen (the room Madison has enjoyed "the most" thus far). Although she doesn't "have much to change at all" because the four-bedroom, four-bathroom house was recently renovated, she is giving the finished room over the garage a major transformation. "That room will be a complete glam room," she shared. "Instead of being a second apartment, I'm flipping it into a full vanity [and] a closet with all lights."
Patricia Altschul offered to lend Madison some of her spare furniture, but as the mom of a 9-year-old, Madison had good reason to politely decline. Imagining her home filled with Patricia's valuable antiques, she quipped, "I would [say to Hudson], 'Don't touch that — we can't afford that!'"
Madison has been to plenty of Patricia's elegant gatherings over the years, and now she's excited to host some of her own in her soon-to-be "sipping room." While her living room will be cozy, this room is "not gonna be the place where you probably want to go and lounge and get comfortable," she explained. "I'll have [this] room where it's like, 'Nobody bring a drink in here unless it's champagne.' That's a clear liquid, we can deal with that."
Although Brett owns a house in California, Madison explained why buying their home together was a "different" experience for him. "He's never been married, and this is where we plan on raising our family, so this is like a different kind of chapter in both of our lives," she said. With that in mind, experiencing the "stressful" moments that come with buying a house has given Madison a new appreciation for her relationship: "After this moving process, I love him 10 times more than I even thought I could."
It's been so great, in fact, that she added with a laugh, "I'm like, 'Where we buyin' next?!'"
In reality, the couple doesn't plan to move again anytime soon. "I think this is where I want to raise my future children, and I want Hudson to be here. He likes it so much," she said. "I for sure see us here for at least the next 10 years or longer."
