Madison LeCroy Reveals Exclusive Details on Her Two Wedding Dresses
The Southern Charm bride-to-be shares photos of herself trying on bridal gowns and gives a big hint about what her dresses will look like.
Before Madison LeCroy even tried on her first wedding dress option, the Southern Charm bride-to-be felt like she was ready to walk down the aisle. "Let’s put it this way: [My fiancé, Brett,] did so well on the ring, I’m kind of like, 'OK, we’re good!'" Madison told Bravo Insider on March 1. "I don’t need a crazy dress to make me feel like a bride."
Still, Madison wanted to find the perfect attire for her big day, so she enlisted the help of her mom, her sister, and one of her matrons of honor during a recent trip to New York City. As evidenced in the exclusive photos below, she tried on numerous options in a variety of styles. Although she didn't end up selecting any of the four gorgeous Carolina Herrera dresses seen in the photos, Madison shared, "I definitely think I found the dress."
Because the search took place during a "long day" filled with multiple appointments, when Madison ended up trying on what will be her wedding dress, she "really didn’t know" it was the one. "It was so far into the day that it was just another white dress at that point," she explained.
Luckily, her loved ones were there to share their honest — perhaps sometimes too honest — opinions about her options to help guide the decision. "When I heard nothing, I was like, 'OK, so this is a no,'" Madison recalled with a laugh. "I think the guy at Vera Wang was like, 'Oh my god, you poor thing!' The stuff that my sister and my mom can tell me, that’s why the haters on social media don’t really bother me, because I’m like, 'I’ve heard it all.' You can tell me anything, I can handle it. But it was all good, my feelings were definitely not hurt." Ultimately, when it came to selecting what will now be her wedding dress, "we all agreed on it," Madison said.
Although she has decided on the dress, Madison currently feels "very indecisive" about what to do when it comes to alterations or other changes. "The whole silhouette can change based off of what they’re willing to do," she explained, noting that her 5'3" height is a factor in the tweaks she wants to make.
Of course, customization can come at a high cost. "If I end up spending what I think I’m gonna end up spending on this dress, I told my mom I’m gonna like wear it the next morning for breakfast," Madison said with a laugh. "Like, I will definitely have this thing in a shadowbox." While the Maven salon owner isn't ready to share the details of her dress just yet, she promises one thing: "You will not see me in silk."
That includes her second look, which she will likely change into later in the celebration. As Madison explained, there "will be an open bar for those that do drink," but "the majority of [the] wedding is going to be more of a mocktail party" because their family members "aren't heavy drinkers." With that in mind, Madison said, "Once the night turns from mocktail to more cocktail, then I probably will go to a shorter dress."
No matter what she decides, her looks are sure to be unforgettable, much like the wedding itself. As Madison put it: "This isn’t going to be some big ol' party that people don’t remember."
