Naomie Olindo Is "Back in Charleston" Following Her Split from Metul Shah
Weeks after moving to NYC, the Southern Charm alum "plans to stay" in Charleston "for the time being," her rep confirms.
Earlier this summer, Naomie Olindo moved from Charleston to New York City with Metul Shah. On July 12, the Southern Charm alum's agent, Paul Desisto, confirmed that the two have broken up, and Naomie has since left the Big Apple.
Desisto told PEOPLE, "She is back in Charleston and plans to stay there for the time being."
In early July, Naomie was frequently sharing updates on her move to NYC and gave a tour of the former couple's "perfect" temporary West Village rental apartment from Blueground. "We're trying to learn different parts of the city," she said in a video. "It's been so, so nice not having to worry about needing to sign a lease right now, especially sight unseen. We weren't up here before so I was doing everything with brokers on the phone, and it just was scary, signing a lease to a place you have not even seen in person."
Metul announced in October 2020 that he would be making the move to NYC, writing on Instagram, "Humbled and excited to match for fellowship at Weill Cornell and join manhattanites in complaining about rent, weather, subway rats, and kinda everything else in general." Seven months later, he captioned a photo of him and Naomie, "Charleston farewell tour begins," and Naomie revealed they were looking to move to New York "before July 1st."
