Patricia Altschul's Butler Michael Is Making Her a Super Fancy "Quarantini"
The Southern Charm matriarch is still getting her beloved drink served on a silver platter — while practicing social distancing.
Southern Charm doyenne Patricia Altschul is making the best of self-isolation amid the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a March 16 Instagram video, Patricia recorded her beloved butler, Michael Kelcourse, serving her one of his famous martinis from a distance. "We’re actually taking #coronavirus quite seriously and have adopted a self imposed quarantine," she wrote, adding the hashtag: "quarantini."
In the clip, Patricia excitedly narrated: "Oh, Michael, you're bringing me my quarantini," to which he responded: "Six feet away, madam," in reference to the CDC's guideline to perform social distancing by staying at least six feet away from others.
The distance, while safe, left Patricia puzzled as to how she'll get ahold of her drink. "I guess you just set it down on the table," she suggested, to which Michael quipped: "And then I run."
Alcohol was top of mind as Patricia prepared to hunker down amid the global health crisis. In a March 4 Instagram post, she shared her bulk buy necessities during a trip to Costco: multiple packs of Charmin toilet paper as well as three bottles of Veuve Clicquot. She captioned the post: "Getting prepared in case the corona virus hits."
Other Bravolebrities are keeping their homes stocked with unlikely essentials as well. Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor revealed his bulk buy of choice was Cadbury eggs, among other things, as he and Brittany Cartwright filled their home with necessities. "You never know, but we are ready for anything," he tweeted. "Unless I smoke to [sic] much weed, then I have enough food for like a week."
