On Season 9 of Southern Charm, viewers have been getting to know newcomer Rod Razavi. As Olivia Flowers explained during Episode 2, "Rod is so sweet. He's just got such a chivalrous spirit about him."

In the same scene, the computer programmer admitted he's a "really bad eater," but in Episode 9, he revealed something new about his eating habits that left his castmates stunned.

Rod Razavi shares an "embarrassing" fact about himself

During a trip to Shep Rose's family home in North Carolina, the group was getting ready to have a special dinner made by a chef. However, Rod opted to skip the first course. "I don't want to waste the salad," he said during the episode, which aired on November 9. "I don't eat salad." Austen Kroll chimed in, "He said he's never had a salad in his whole life."

Taylor Ann Green stated, "This is so weird that you don't eat salad," to which Rod replied, "I know, and it's embarrassing." Taylor encouraged him to try it, asking, "Can you please just take a bite of a salad?" but Rod stood his ground, saying, "You know, it's not for me."

Luckily, there was plenty of other amazing food for Rod to eat, including roast beef tenderloin, roast pork loin, roasted Brussels sprouts, potatoes au gratin, and squash puree.

Update on Rod Razavi's relationship with Olivia Flowers

Rod and Olivia had been dating throughout the season, but in Episode 9, he wanted to make their status more official. As the two chatted at Shep's house, Rod told Olivia he wanted them to "exclusively date."

Although Olivia said Rod was "perfect," she wasn't on the same page. "I am seeing other people, and I do want to keep that open with you," she said. "My stuff with Austen threw me off. After that, I have this hesitation of getting in a relationship."

Earlier in the Season, Rod and Austen had an "awkward" conversation about Rod's relationship with Olivia. "I may or may not have been out with Olivia, and we might have made out a little bit. And, like, I'm definitely interested," he said. "I figured I'd just kind of tell you to your face, you know, kind of clear the air." Watch the video above to see how Austen reacted to the news.
