It’s Official! Southern Charm’s Pat Altschul Has Just Been Named One of the “Best Party Hosts” in America
Patricia Altschul represents Charleston on the list, having won over the judges with her southern charm.
We already knew that Southern Charm’s Patricia Altschul was the ultimate gracious hostess. (Exhibit A: how she stocks in her home bar, just in case.) And now she has an official title to reflect her flawless entertaining prowess: She’s just been named one of “America’s best party hosts.”
Entertaining website The Salonniere bestowed the prestigious rank as part of its list of the “2019 Salonniere 100,” which includes the 100 people it named as the best hosts throughout the country.
The Southern Charm-er takes her place on the list alongside such party luminaries as (NBD) Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston. In all, a diverse group of party people from 33 cities are represented; representing Charleston along with Pat is her friend, the entertainer extraordinaire Carolyne Roehm.
“There’s no one who knows more about [Southern charm] than Patricia Altschul, who wrote the book on it and stars in the Bravo TV series of the same name," according to The Salonniere. While Patricia has no time for an inferior martini... she’s more than gracious when it comes to sharing her tips for elevating the cocktail — and every other party detail — to perfect Southern standards.”
As for her dream party guests? Pat told The Salonniere those would include, “Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Picasso, Queen Victoria, Richard Burton, Bunny Mellon, Steve Jobs, and the Duchess of Devonshire.” (Can we come, too?)
Cheers on the high honor, Pat!
