Sutton Stracke Reveals How Her Boutique Is Doing Amid Coronavirus
The RHOBH pal shared an update on her West Hollywood store.
Sutton Stracke is opening up about how her West Hollywood boutique is doing amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rookie shared an update on the status of her store, The Sutton Concept, as she marked the first anniversary of its opening.
Sutton reflected on what she’s learned during the boutique’s first year, including the changes she adopted to keep business booming during the pandemic.
“I think when we were in quarantine, it was sort of the secret blessing for our store because it forced us to really look at our online website and online shopping,” she told PEOPLE magazine. “We were just scrambling to open and to kind of figure everything out, so we had the opportunity to take some time to do that and our online sales have been amazing.”
Though the store's doors are currently open, Sutton shared that most customers are currently sticking to online shopping. "We still get people in here, which I wish we could have more because this store is more of an experience, but we're still getting people in and our online is great,” she explained. “I think that's what is happening in retail fashion right now, a lot of online sales. People must remember that this too shall pass and you will want something in your closet besides a pair of pajamas.″
As for what shoppers can expect should they venture into the store, Sutton says she went for a unique, homey aesthetic, as captured in the video tour above. “I want people to be able to come and hang out. It's not a forceful, 'You need to buy something.' Just come in and see all the beautiful things,” she described, per PEOPLE. “We have art, and fashion, and little home stuff ... all kinds of interesting things."
