After the brewing tensions between Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, and Danielle Olivera came to a head on Season 7 Episode 14 of Summer House, Carl and Lindsay made the decision to (temporarily) leave the group’s shared house. Although Lindsay explained during the episode that the situation was “overwhelming,” looking back now, there was one moment she feels was “worth the drama.”

How to Watch

While the rest of their housemates were out for a boat day during the episode, Lindsay and Carl returned to the house to pack up their belongings — including one particularly sweet item — before leaving again.

“Do you wanna grab my pineapple upside-down cake?” Lindsay asked Carl, who immediately went into the kitchen to take the homemade dessert before they departed.

When the group returned, they were shocked to find the cake was missing. “Hold on. There were two cakes here when we left and one of them is gone,” Amanda Batula said, to which Gabby Prescod asked in shock, “They took the cake?”

“She took the cake?” Paige DeSorbo asked. “I actually respect the f-ck out of that move. Hilarious.”

Chris Leoni wasn’t convinced that Lindsay and Carl had actually left the house, asking, “Are they among us?” But Amanda concluded, “No, because the cake is gone. If they were still here. there would not be cake missing. They left.” In fact, she later added, “We only have two slices left.”

More arguments later took place when Kory Keefer and Chris wore the cowboy hats Lindsay and Carl had left behind, leading Instagram account Brands by Bravo to declare in a May 16 post, “The most dramatic housemates: pineapple upside down cake and cowboy hats.”

Lindsay shared the post to her Instagram Story, writing, “Okay but my cake though...it’s worth the drama,” and adding a crying-laughing emoji.
