Now We Know What Happened to Luke Gulbranson's Engagement Ring
"I'm finally ready to let go of this ring and this time of my life," the Summer House cast member said.
During Season 4 of Summer House, Luke Gulbranson opened up about buying an engagement ring during a three-year relationship with his ex. Now, Luke is ready to leave that chapter behind — and he’s donating to a great cause while doing so.
Luke has teamed up with secondhand jewelry marketplace, IDoNowIDont.com, to auction off the Tiffany & Co. engagement ring, which is just under one carat and retails for $11,500. The auction will take place between August 17 and August 24, with the starting bid at $5,000. Proceeds from the auction will benefit a charity that is close to Luke’s heart, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
“It was important to donate to a charity because I felt the need to make the outcome of a tough time be something really positive. Unfortunately, my mother has leukemia and the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society has been very good to her throughout her battle and I'm so grateful for them,” Luke told BravoTV.com. “So when I spoke with IDoNowIDont.com, we all agreed it would be a great idea to auction off this ring with a percentage going to LLS because I wanted to take this opportunity to give back to LSS for all they have done for my mom.”
Luke also revealed why he feels that now is the right time to part with the ring, telling BravoTV.com that spending time alone in the pandemic helped lead him to this decision.
“While I took some time away from NYC and spent my days alone at my lake home renovating, I had the opportunity to sit and collect my thoughts about my past relationship,” he said. “I was able to come to a new perspective on my past relationship and felt like it was the right time to sell my ex's engagement ring on IDoNowIDont.com.”
