Why Paige DeSorbo “Wouldn’t Want” Craig Conover to Move to New York City
The Summer House cast member detailed why her Southern Charm beau won’t be relocating to the Big Apple anytime soon.
On Season 7 Episode 9 of Summer House, Paige DeSorbo and her boyfriend, Craig Conover, chatted about taking the next step in their long-distance relationship.
“I will be changing a lot more than you would be. I will be changing my whole life,” Paige told her Southern Charm beau about why the idea of moving to South Carolina was “scary”: “I have no friends in Charleston, I don’t know anyone, and my whole career is there [in New York].”
After Craig made a surprising offer — that he would consider moving to New York — Paige appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen following the April 10 episode to dish on the prospect of Craig relocating to the Big Apple.
“I’m not ready to live in a cul-de-sac,” Paige joked about living in Charleston. Host Andy Cohen said he “think[s] Craig is gonna wind up moving to New York.”
“I think so too,” Paige said.
The question of Craig moving up North to live with Paige was brought up again during Part 2 of the Summer House Season 7 reunion, as host Andy prompted Paige to share her thoughts on the matter.
Will Craig Conover Ever Move to New York City?
“The first time Craig came to the house this summer, he talked about getting engaged in six months [and] you burst into tears,” Andy stated on the June 5 reunion episode. “Why were you crying?”
“People sometimes don’t talk about how scary it really is getting older and growing up,” Paige began. “I have only known living in the state of New York, I’m very close to my parents, and the thought of being a plane ride away to my family when I’m starting my own family was very scary to me — it still is very scary to me.”
The fashion influencer then answered a fan question about the potential of Craig meeting her in New York, considering her apprehension toward moving down South.
“I know Craig so well and he — long term — wouldn’t be happy in New York and I wouldn’t want to put that on him,” she shared, noting her own reasons for staying put until she and Craig take the next steps in their relationship. “And when I think about having a family… I do think about living in the suburbs.”
What Are Paige and Craig’s Future Living Plans?
Though the couple has not yet settled on, well, where they will both be settled, they continue to visit each other in their respective cities. In the meantime, Craig is continuing to turn his home into a spectacular living space.
In addition to the Sewing Down South founder adding a hot tub and pool to his backyard, Paige contributed some stylish features to the outdoor space.
Sharing a peek in her May 30 Instagram Stories, Paige posted a photo of a white lounge chair with a few Coral Greek Key pillows ($70 apiece) from Sewing Down South under a fringed umbrella.
“Obsessed,” Paige captioned the summer-ready snap.
