You Can Now Live in the Actual 10 Things I Hate About You House — For $1.6 Million
The Victorian-style home in Tacoma, Washington hasn't been for sale in some 30 years.
If you're anything like us, the "hobbies and interests" section of your resume lists "spontaneously quoting lines from 10 Things I Hate About You" as one of the things you're great at. But, even if you're not quite that obsessed with the 1999 rom-com, there are plenty of reasons you may want to move into the house it was filmed in.
Now on the market for $1.6 million, the Victorian-style home in Tacoma, Washington hasn't been for sale in some 30 years. (Read: get it while you can, folks!) It wasn't just the facade of the lovely home that was featured in the Julia Stiles-Heath Ledger flick, either: scenes were shot in its interior, as well.
Remember when Bianca had to wear the fake pregnancy belly before heading to the prom? That scene took place in the entryway, which has solid oak doors and custom-inlay floors. And, Bianca and Kat's dad laid down the proclamation that "Bianca can date when [Kat] does" in the living room, which comes replete with a cozy fireplace. It gets better, though: The room that was shown as Kat's bedroom in the film still has its striped wallpaper in tact.
Apart from being imbued with movie magic, the house has five bedrooms, four baths, and epic views of the Puget Sound. Is it just us, or do you sense a bidding war?
