Kandi Burruss Has a Touching Tribute for Aaliyah on the 15th Anniversary of Her Death

"I've always loved this pic," the #RHOA singer wrote of her late friend.

Fifteen years after Aaliyah tragically passed away in a plane crash at the age of 22 on August 25, 2001, the world hasn't forgotten about her influence on the music industry, as well as her friendship.

Kandi Burruss paid tribute to Aaliyah on Instagram Friday morning with a touching throwback pic of herself with the R&B singer, as well as rapper Foxy Brown. "I've always loved this pic," Kandi captioned the photo.

Of course, Aaliyah had many famous friends who continue to carry on her legacy today, including Beyoncé, who posted a sweet video of the pair gushing about how "fine" D'Angelo is during a red carpet appearance on Instagram Thursday.
