The 51-year-old Beverly Hills Housewife started a relationship with Stewart, the 32-year-old son of rocker Rod Stewart in January, two months after finalizing her divorce from Dr. Paul Nassif after 10 years of marriage.
The seemingly odd coupling raised eyebrows, but Adrienne defended their relationship after they were spotted getting cozy at a Beverly Hills restaurant.
“Age is just a number,” she told US. “It’s about how good of a person you are... (Sean) is a very funny guy. He’s very giving, he mentors at the mission, works with at-risk children, and gives his time and money to get children off the street."
Sean was critical of nay-sayers accusing detractors of sexism saying that it’s no biggie if a man dates a much younger woman.
According to US, there’s no drama in the breakup.
"They've decided to distance themselves and become friends. Nothing bad happened," a source close to Maloof told US. "They're still going to hang out as friends, they enjoy each other's company."
For now Adrienne, mom to Gavin, 9, and twins Christian and Colin, 6, is going to focus on her family and work.
“She’s not looking to date anybody right now. She’s going to focus on her kids and brands,” a friend told US.
In the meantime, viewers will start to see the beginning of the end for Adrienne and ex-husband, Paul on Monday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here's a preview:
