Alex McCord and Dina Manzo Make a Fashion Statement
Real Housewives come out for LGBT cause.
Real Housewives past and present turned up shoulder to shoulder in New York on Monday night at the annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares fundraiser. Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Dina Manzo and Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord (with hubby Simon van Kempen in tow) came out for the event, which benefits various groups in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community.
By the end of the night, the 'Wives had witnessed a runway show, silent and live auctions, a reception, and the raising of some serious funds. "Wow another half a million raised tonight for the LGBT community," Dina told The Examiner of the evening. "Again, proud to be a part of it."
Jeffrey Fashion Cares was founded in Atlanta in 1992 by Jeffrey Kalinsky, who brought the movement north to NYC in 2003. Over the years, the organization has since raised over $11 million for various charities and non-profit groups.
