Alex McCord Ready to Blow a Fuse on New Season of RHONY
"I have finally had it up to here," she says.
Tonight's return of The Real Housewives of New York City introduces a new 'Wife to the mix, and we aren't just talking about Cindy Barshop. Viewers are promised a new Alex McCord as Season 4 unfolds. "I have finally had it up to here," she told HollywoodLife.com at the show's premiere party this week. "I have a very long fuse, and when it blows—it blows."
Not to say that Alex's newly found voice is there just for show, because according to another Housewife it serves a personal and important purpose. "First season she was a quiet mouse. Now she has a voice," explains Ramona Singer. "And you know what, she comes to my defense a number of times on the show. She's become a good friend. ... I think she's real and does things unpretentiously. She's a very genuine person."
But then again, this is RHONY after all, so not everyone could be happy. "I love Alex. I think she's a really sweet girl," Kelly Bensimon said of her co-star. "But I think one of her biggest issues is that she's outspoken about the wrong issues — sometimes less is more."
When it's all said and done, Alex says not all that much has changed. "The biggest difference in the metamorphosis is that I'm actually just saying what I was thinking all along," she explains. "If you don't say what you are thinking, people will make up all sorts of things that they think you're thinking and it's never real."
