Alexis Bellino Introduces Her Newest Family Member (VIDEO)
The RHOC alum revealed the family addition in the cutest video clip: "I have to learn the word 'no.'"
Alexis Bellino has added a four-legged friend to her family.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared the exciting news via Instagram last week, when she posted an adorable video of her new dog, Biscuit. Alexis took out her camera and attempted to capture the large pooch playing with her smaller dog, Prince; but just moments into the recording, Biscuit crawled on Alexis’ lap and caused her to bust out laughing.
“I literally — I can’t breathe. This dog weighs as much as me,” she said in the October 10 post. “Welcome the new addition to our family… Here we go. We’ve got Biscuit now. Like I needed this in my life right now… but I did. I think I did.”
Alexis admitted she was initially hesitant to get a new dog, as her family already had dozens of pets. But it was her children who ultimately convinced her to take Biscuit home.
“My kids have me wrapped around their fingers,” she captioned the post. “Welcome Biscuit to our family farm… He’s such a good dog!!!!!… really???? 2 dogs, a cat, 25 fish and 4 reptiles [Bellino Farm]. I have to learn the word ‘no’. But I will learn that tomorrow because I think Biscuit belongs here. Lolol!”
Alexis Bellino calls off her engagement to Andrew Bohn
The addition comes as Alexis enters a new chapter in her life. It was more than a month ago when the Missouri native announced she and Andy “Drew” Bohn had called it quits nearly three years into their engagement. Alexis insisted there was no bad blood between her and her ex-fiancé, as they simply decided to “pursue separate paths.”
“We kindly ask for your thoughts and prayers for both of our families as we navigate through this breakup,” she said in a September 5 statement to People magazine, “especially considering the recent [loss] of my mother.”
Alexis Bellino pays tribute to her late mom
Shortly before the breakup, Alexis confirmed her mom, Penelope, had died after a years-long health battle. The former ’Wife recently memorialized her mother with a tribute tattoo that read: “Dying is a different way to live.” Alexis explained that the phrase was taken from Penelope’s old journal, which was read out loud during her mom’s final days.
“On July 25th, 7 days before my mom took her last breath my brother and Fred and I were living in her hospital room for her last two weeks and reading her journals to each other,” she wrote in an October 7 post. “We stumbled upon this journal entry from 2007 which highlights her views on death. I immediately got chills and knew in that moment that I was putting that last sentence on my rib. I wanted to share this because there’s so much more to the story than me just getting a tattoo; this is truly so special. I get to have this memory and special tattoo for the rest of my life.”
