Amber Marchese Feels 'Fantastic' After Surgery
The 'RHONJ' star is bracing for a stressful week ahead of receiving biopsy results.
A day after undergoing a procedure to remove a mass in her breast, Amber Marchese is sharing good news with her fans: "I'm out of surgery, and honestly I feel fantastic," she says.
"My throat is hurting a little bit from the breathing tube that they put down, but other than that it was perfect," she shares in a video. "I find out my results probably Friday, no later than Monday, so it's going to be a heck of a week."
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has already survived one battle with breast cancer, but after unexpectedly finding another lump last week she detailed the experience in a lengthy post on her Facebook.
"My mind's rational side keeps repeating that the odds of it being cancerous are very low, it truly is," she wrote. "But I quickly revert back to thoughts of the worst kind…recalling the first round. As comforting as the statistics should be to me, I still have spent the last couple of weeks in complete anxiety, fear, and stress."
Fans immediately voiced their concern and support for the mother of four, and Amber is expressing how grateful she is for the outpouring she's experienced.
"I have to tell you, never in my life [have I] felt so much love and faith and prayer around me," she says. "I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn't reply, but I would periodically read everything that you said, and it was all beautiful and I really, really appreciate it. You guys are awesome, and I just felt like it was a big group hug, and I couldn't thank you enough."
Moving forward, Amber promises to keep fans informed and share updates as she receives them. "I'll let you know. I'm being very positive," she reveals. "I'll talk to you soon. We'll keep in touch."
