Amber Marchese: My Breast Cancer Has Returned
The 'RHONJ' star says she'll face her second battle "like Superwoman."
Devastating news for Amber Marchese and her family: the mass that was removed from Amber's breast has been confirmed as cancerous.
On Friday, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star's husband Jim told TMZ that after undergoing a biopsy, the results have come back as positive. This will be the second time Amber will begin treatment for the disease after receiving a double mastectomy following a diagnosis six years ago.
Amber revealed earlier this week that she unexpectedly found a lump at home. Despite her scary news, she said she's turning to her family and religion for strength, and was especially grateful for the outpouring of love and support she received from fans leading up to and following the surgery.
"I have to tell you, never in my life [have I] felt so much love and faith and prayer around me," she said in a video posted on her Facebook. "I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn't reply, but I would periodically read everything that you said, and it was all beautiful and I really, really appreciate it. You guys are awesome, and I just felt like it was a big group hug, and I couldn't thank you enough."
Jim admits that while Amber is understandably shaken up from the news, she's remaining optimistic that she'll beat breast cancer the second time around. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star says she will "go forward like Superwoman."
Send positive vibes and well wishes to Amber and her family.
