Amber Marchese Shows Support for Fellow Cancer Warrior
The #RHONJ star prays for a fellow #warriorqueen.
Even in the midst of her recovery, Amber Marchese is supporting others ailing from the same debilitating disease.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star took to Instagram to express her hopes for her drains to come out, but also to wish well someone recieving a mastectomy, a procedure that she's been through twice.
”Praying that my drains come out today!” she writes. “And saying an ever bigger prayer for a fellow #warriorqueen that is having a mastectomy today. That it goes perfectly and that lymph nodes are completely clear. That she wakes up with minimal pain and she has amazing/kind nurses around her to feel comfortable.”
Amber confirmed earlier this week that her breast cancer had not spread after receiving a partial mastectomy. She revealed last month that she had underwent surgery to remove a lump that was confirmed as cancerous. Thankfully the tissue surrounding it was healthy.
She explained how difficult it was to hear that she had cancer for a second time. "I can't even begin to describe the feeling you get when someone says you have cancer," she said. "Then to get it again after fighting so hard. I had several surgeries including a double mastectomy and chemotherapy along with other systemic treatments. I thought it was behind me.””
Always looking on the bright side, though, Amber revealed how relieved she was that she and her medical team caught it so early on. “I am very blessed.”
