Andy Cohen has had the privilege of watching Vicki Gunvalson's two kids, Briana Culberson and Michael Wolfsmith, grow up before his eyes on The Real Housewives of Orange County since the show's inception in 2006. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host has seen them go from high school to college to careers, and in Briana's case, marriage and babies — and he's celebrated every milestone along the way. So when Andy appeared on Vicki's new podcast, Whoop It Up with Vicki, she reminded him of a very sweet gesture he did when Briana's eldest son was born.
"Troy is 7 now. Andy, I don't know if you remember when Briana was pregnant with him, and you sent every present — listeners don't know this — you sent every present that was on her gift registry that she never got. We had boxes from you and boxes from you. And I was like, wow, we are friends," Vicki said.
And Andy explained his reasoning behind his generosity: "I gotta tell ya, I just have a very emotional reaction every time I see Briana and Michael just because I feel like I've seen them grow up into these great people, and they always were, but it's a trip to me. There's a sweetness to both of them that's never changed. They're good people and you're a great mom and I just always really connected to that," he said.
Briana now lives in North Carolina with her husband, Ryan Culberson, and their two sons, Troy, 7, and Owen, 5. She made her return to RHOC in Season 14 to celebrate her mom's engagement to Steve Lodge. She also recently spoke out on her mom's departure from RHOC, saying, "I’m not really a 'statement' kind of girl, but I will say that it’s very sad and the end of a wonderful journey for my mom. We’ve had a lot of fun as a family on the show and I’m very proud of her and love her. Her absence will be significant and she will be very missed on the show."
