Andy opened up about the status of his health in a recent interview with Extra. "I had a chest X-ray a few weeks ago and there was a little cloudiness in the lung. They said that’s commensurate for someone who is recovering,” he said. “Otherwise I feel pretty good. I lost a ton of weight and I gained it all back.”

Andy first confirmed his coronavirus diagnosis back in March. After a couple of weeks of self-quarantining away from his one-year-old son, Ben, the father-son duo was able to safely reunite by the end of the month. "I’ve hosted reunions for years, but yesterday’s was the best one yet," the dad gushed at the time.

In April,  Andy explained that the hardest part of coping with the virus was having to self-isolate and bring his life to a complete halt during recovery. "I respond to a busy schedule and having a lot of work, so being laid up in my bed for two weeks was a new experience,” he said.
